Welcome New Faculty

The Faculty Practice Plan would like to welcome the following new clinical faculty.

Anesthesiology
Holger Baumann, MD
Dr. Baumann is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree and completed an anesthesiology residency from Free University in Berlin, Germany. He also completed a fellowship in intensive care medicine at Free University.

Arvind Palanisamy, MD
Dr. Palanisamy is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree and completed anesthesiology residency at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. He also completed a fellowship in obstetric anesthesia and critical care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/ Harvard Medical School in Boston.  Dr. Palanisamy is board certified in anesthesiology.

Neurology
Salim Chahin, MD, is an assistant professor of neurology at Washington University School of Medicine, specializing in multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica and neuroimmunology. Dr. Chahin completed a multiple sclerosis fellowship and earned his MSCE at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a neurology residency at University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and earned his medical degree at Damascus University School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. He is board certified in neurology.

Stephanie Wrobel Goldberg, MD, is an assistant professor of neurology at Washington University School of Medicine, specializing in migraine, atypical headaches, Botox and nerve blocks. Dr. Wrobel Goldberg completed headache fellowships at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, New York. She completed her neurology residency at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, and earned her medical degree at Universidade Federal Do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. She is board certified in neurology and headache medicine.

Orthopedic Surgery
Paul Lux, MD, Dr. Lux is an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Tulane University of School of Medicine in New Orleans, and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, KY. He then completed a fellowship in adult orthopedic reconstruction at DePaul Health Center in St. Louis. Dr. Lux is board certified in orthopedic surgery.

Jeffrey Martin, MD, Dr. Martin is an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio. He then completed a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at DePaul Health Center in St. Louis. Dr. Martin is board certified in orthopedic surgery.

 

Pediatrics
Suzanne Miller, MD, Dr. Miller is an associate professor of pediatrics, division of hospitalist medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago.  She completed a residency in pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a residency in neurology at the University of Minnesota. She is board certified in pediatrics and behavior and developmental pediatrics.

 

Radiology
Joyce Mhlanga, MD, Dr. Mhlanga is an assistant professor of radiology, division of nuclear medicine. She received her medical degree from University of Liverpool Medical School in England. She completed residency and fellowship in nuclear medicine, and an additional fellowship in pediatric radiology at Johns Hopkins University Hospitals in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Mhlanga is board certified in radiology and nuclear medicine.
